Brake Power Control with ABS and ASR
This training system permits practical experimentation and demonstrations by means of an electronically controlled ABS / ASR brake system (Bosch 5.3). All important electrical signals can be tapped centrally via 4-mm sockets. As such, trainees have the opportunity to practice realistic work and thus eventually transfer the acquired know-how to the real job. This system also permits read-outs using OBD diagnostics tools.
Basic Equipment Set, Consisting of...
CO3221-6Y
The training system consists of an original and complete braking system, which is equipped with disc brakes on the front axle and drum brakes on the rear axle. Thus both brake types are covered in one training system. The brake is actuated by means of a brake pedal, which is connected to the tandem brake cylinder via the brake booster. The brake lines are led from the mechatronic ABS hydraulic unit with ASR functionality to the individual brake calipers. In addition, the ABS control unit with ASR functionality evaluates the signals from the four original wheel speed sensors and regulates the brake pressure in the corresponding brake cylinders. The different pressures can be read off via the corresponding pressure gauges. Two separately driven sensor wheels make it possible to imitate different wheel speeds on the left and right sides of the vehicle.
Learning objectives:
-
Understanding how a typical ABS-ASR brake system works
-
Understanding of the effectiveness of brake boosters and hydraulic brakes.
-
Recognition of the effects of typical faults on the ABS and ASR brake system.
-
Performing various electrical measurements.
-
Interpretation and application of technical documentation.
-
Development of diagnostic competence
-
Planning and application of typical diagnostic strategies

HEX-NET Basic WiFi Set Incl. VCDS Licence
The new diagnostics interface opens the way to the smart automotive workshop 4.0! Now with the new HEX-NET diagnostics interface you can finally do all your workshop jobs wirelessly with VCDS! This is made possible thanks to WiFi technology. Simply log onto the WiFi in the workshop and gain wireless access to the network on the vehicle from any computer or device. Thanks to perfect integration into the IT infrastructure of your workshop, the HEX-NET offers unprecedented opportunities to optimize the diagnostics process!
You do not have WiFi available in your workshop or you wish to use the HEX-NET in transit? That too is no problem because at the push of the button the HEX-NET is configured as a router to which any WiFi-capable device can connect.
Thanks to an additional new feature, Ross-Tech VCDS Mobile, access to full VCDS functionality can be gained from any platform (provided there is WiFi capability and a Web browser available). The high-powered built-in microprocessor makes all this and more possible, whether it be via iPhone, iPad, Android cell or laptop. A world of new opportunities is opened by mobile diagnostics, allowing vehicle parameters to be recorded even during a test drive!
