Part No.: MPLCNL-Dashboard-Trainer
The model comprises an original dashboard with an instrument panel, driver's and front passenger's airbags, as well as the entire lighting system, including instrument lighting.
This system shows the point of practical training content. The model comprises an original dashboard with an instrument panel, driver's and front passenger's airbags, as well as the entire lighting system, including instrument lighting. The model allows simulated faults to be activated in order to reflect specific situations. Also present are diagnostic plugs for measurements on control units, e.g. for the airbag or illumination.
This training system allows for practically based experimenting and demonstration on the topic of networked systems (CAN/LIN bus). The model is based around original components of a VW Golf 7, which is itself based on Volkswagen's new modular transverse matrix concept (MQB). The model consists of an original dashboard including all display instruments and instrument lighting, the front airbags and the full lighting system. In addition, all the LIN-controlled windscreen wiper motors and the blower fan are included. Apart from the actual CAN gateway and the full steering electronics, fully operational driver's and front passenger doors with their comfort function controller are also supplied. The standard package is rounded off with a rain sensor and driving light controller.
Diagnostics can be fully carried out with a tester since an OBD connector is provided. A lockable fault box also allows 20 different simulated faults to be activated, which ensures that elementary diagnostic skills can be developed. Faulty signal traces or other problems can be measured directly from the measurement sockets with suitable instruments and analysed.

Vehicle voltage tester. Due to its small current consumption of 1.5 mA, the CAR-CHECK tester is particularly well suited to finding faults with electronic components. Conventional test lamps often cause damage to these. Polarity indication via two LEDs.
Universal precision lab multimeter and temperature meter with IR interface for high-quality, universal measurement and testing in educational settings, power plants, process control installations etc.
This supplementary package can be added to the CAN/LIN dashboard model (SO3240-1R) to provide a fully functional bi-xenon lighting system including automatic light range adjustment and dynamic cornering lights (adaptive light control). An additional CAN controller can be used to simulate the angle of the steering and speed of the vehicle so that the dynamic cornering light system can also be used and analysed with a stationary vehicle.
The dynamic cornering light system causes the headlights to follow bends in the road, thus providing optimum lighting of the road ahead. The headlights move in a horizontal plane and continually adapt to the speed and steering angle of the vehicle. Such "co-steering" headlights illuminate up to 15° on the inside of a bend and another 7.5° on the outside of the bend. Static cornering lighting is activated when taking tight corners, such as junctions, to provide additional lighting illuminating a wide angle on the inside of the corner. It works automatically when the vehicle is stationary or moving at speeds up to 50 km/h. Thanks to the gentle brightening and dimming, the cornering lights are not perceived as dazzling by oncoming traffic.
This supplementary package provides your CAN/LIN dashboard with a huge extra boost which specifically gives it a major enhancement in the fields of digitalisation and networking. The core of this supplementary package is an infotainment system which greatly increases the training content which can be imparted using the system. Apart from the technical aspects, such as the antenna concept and touch screen operation, it is possible to display a driving profile. It is also possible to cover the topics of "navigation" (country-specific navigation data can also be supplied) and "digital radio broadcasting (DAB)" (functionality depends on country). In terms of networked systems, due to the large quantities of data involved in multimedia applications, a MOST bus is available. This provides a major addition to the bus systems which can be explored.
The CAN/LIN monitor allows bus protocols on a LIN bus, CAN bus or any serial bus to be recorded and investigated. Users are free to display the bus packets in binary or hexadecimal code. All activity on the respective bus is logged by the software and displayed in a list. Any command can be transmitted along the bus with the aid of a transmit function. Another key feature is the ability to display all bus levels graphically in a real-time diagram, where the individual sections of code are shown directly on a graphic. This is a particularly effective way to demonstrate the basic principles of bus communication and the differences between the various bus protocols.
The new diagnostics interface opens the way to the smart automotive workshop 4.0! Now with the new HEX-NET diagnostics interface you can finally do all your workshop jobs wirelessly with VCDS! This is made possible thanks to WiFi technology. Simply log onto the WiFi in the workshop and gain wireless access to the network on the vehicle from any computer or device. Thanks to perfect integration into the IT infrastructure of your workshop, the HEX-NET offers unprecedented opportunities to optimize the diagnostics process!
You do not have WiFi available in your workshop or you wish to use the HEX-NET in transit? That too is no problem because at the push of the button the HEX-NET is configured as a router to which any WiFi-capable device can connect.
Thanks to an additional new feature, Ross-Tech VCDS Mobile, access to full VCDS functionality can be gained from any platform (provided there is WiFi capability and a Web browser available). The high-powered built-in microprocessor makes all this and more possible, whether it be via iPhone, iPad, Android cell or laptop. A world of new opportunities is opened by mobile diagnostics, allowing vehicle parameters to be recorded even during a test drive!
